Terms & Conditions

  1. The quotation for supply of custom made goods from Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing is valid for 30 days from the date of issue of this quotation.

  2. All payments to Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing must be made in GBP (Great Britain Pounds) – sterling. We reserve the right to recharge any costs incurred by our bank for non-compliant payments

  3. Payment to Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing is to be staged as follows:-

    1. 1st payment- 50% with confirmation of order.

    2. 2nd payment- 25% stage payment mid project.

    3. 3rd payment- 25% on completion of contract before shipping.

  4. All silver prices are assessed on a monthly basis. Prices are fixed at the time of ordering. 

  5. Confirmation of the order will be required in writing – after which an invoice from Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing will be issued for the 1st payment. 

  6. Estimated Delivery/lead times apply to each order and commence on 1st payment of said relevant invoice. 

  7. We will endeavour to produce all items to the same design as the accepted and signed off prototypes (if applicable) but as pieces are hand-made there may be slight variations due to the nature of the materials and methods used.

  8. Any discrepancies such as Faulty goods must be declared within 7 days of receipt of goods from the shipping company.  Goods must be returned for evaluation upon which a course of action will be decided. 

  9. This contract is not binding until the 1st payment is received in Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing bank a/c.

  10. Liability will be  limited to the total  value of the contract between client and Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing.

  11. Client is liable for interest accrued on late payments 

  12. Failure to pay will result in a material breach of contract. Notice will be given to pay within 5 days. Failure to comply will result in termination of contract with no refund of payments made.

  13. Proof of shipping is required i.e. - Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing will require to be in receipt of both the “Way Bill” on collection and the “Shipping Bill” when the goods are exported.

  14. Any disputes will be heard in a UK court. 

  15. Whilst Hamish Dobbie Silversmithing endeavours to provide items of the highest quality these products are handmade and as such they are liable to have discrepancies between each item.
